Pin pricking helps to support fine motor skills, coordination, concentration, as well as foster independence and order. By following the outline of the shape on the paper with the pin pricker, the child will be required to focus and concentrate on their movements. Visually, the child will see the shape coming out of the paper as a result of the pin pricking movements.
Materials included: An extra-large thumb tack (pin pricker); a bowl for the pin pricker; a dry sponge; shapes printed on colored construction paper & a container for all items.
